History
amilin® polylin® tublin®
TUB-EX ApS is a family owned production company specializing in tubular film extrusion. The company was founded in 1984 by Linda and Peter Schou at an old dairy in the town Morild in the northern part of Jutland.
In 1987 the productions facilities were expanded by 30%, but as the company keept growing and new products were developed, it became necessary to find new facilities to accommodate the expanding production.
In 1991 Tub-Ex moved into brand new production and administration facilities in Taars – only a few kilometers away from Morild.
In 1995 Tub-ex was awarded the “Den Gyldne Bæver” (The Golden Beaver) - a work environment award – by the Association of Occupational Health Service in Denmark.
In 2003 we had to expand our productions facilities again to comply with the growing market demands for our products.
Since we first started the company in 1984, we have constantly been working on developing new products for both existing and new markets. This has resulted in many new products over the years like the Amilin® 47, as well as the whole range of Tublin® products.
2005 Tublin® a breathable plastic-tubing developed by Tub-ex over 10 years shows huge benefits for the meat industry. Yield improvements up to 15 - 20%.
2004 The visual identity of the company is modified and implemented throughout the organization, involving a new logo and website.
2003 Production facilities are doubled in order to comply with the growing market demands for TUB-EX products. The printing capacity is increased to a total of 60 million meters/year.
2002 A local competitor SFK is purchased and the machinery and workforce is transferred to the premises in Taars.
2001 TUB-EX develops a barrier layer for gas pipes for the Australian market.
2000 Amilin® 47 is developed. The product decreased the cooking loss intensively compared to existing materials.
1998 TUB-EX is able to offer ringed casings for the food industry.
1995 TUB-EX was awarded the work environment price "Den Gyldne Odder" by the Association of Occupational Health Service in Denmark.
1994 The brands Tublin, Amilin and Polylin are registered as trademarks and sample bags for environment protection and police evidence are introduced.
1993 TUB-EX becomes the official Vector agent for the Danish market. Breathable and smokable film is introduced to the food industry.
1992 A new 6 colour printing technology is implemented and TUB-EX becomes one of the leading converters of casing in the world.
1991 TUB-EX moves into brand new production facilities in Taars a few kilometres from Morild
1988 TUB-EX enters the medical market with an Amilin H6 sterilisable film.
1987 Production facilities are expanded by 30%.
1984 TUB-EX was founded by Linda and Peter Schou. The first products were inner liners for canned Danish ham intended for the US export market.
